The simplistic beauty of most of his pieces really grabbed my attention. The contrast between the simple stand and more complex, fluid-like main objects create a very appealing unity. This relative uniformity between his pieces allow for a decent level of replication, but the overall style lets there be plenty of room for differentiation.
My Personal Style
I reversed the motif of a simple base and fluid piece that Pender frequently uses, making a very simple, round piece sat on a fluid stand. For one, it was a single black orb atop a spire-like stand, while the other is a teardrop shape resting gently inside.
